Shaklee Vivix Testimonial for Improved Cholesterol Levels and Bone Density

My heart health story begins back in 1991 when my triglyceride level was 403 with normal being 50-150. I don?t recall any mention of HDL or LDL. Over the years I was told to watch my diet and exercise. With a background of being a high school coach, physical education and health teacher, I had always been very conscious of healthy eating and exercise.

In 2007, I developed some heart irregularities so I completed procedures which included stress testing, cardiolite multiple imaging and a three dimensional CT scan of the heart which revealed soft plaque in the arteries. My cardiologist informed me that diet and exercise, although helpful, would not be enough. I would have to be on medication the rest of my life. Having read about the harmful side effects of statins, I dreaded taking them but decided I should follow the advice of my internal medicine doctor and cardiologist. During this time my blood results showed the triglycerides at 297 with both HDL and LDL in normal range.

We rechecked my blood five months later to see if the medicine was helping. The triglycerides were lower but at 224 were still too high. The HDL and LDL were both in normal range. Periodically, I would read bad news about the use of statins and really wanted to discontinue their use.

When Vivix was introduced in August 2008 I decided to replace the medicine with Vivix, much to my doctors dismay. During my physical in 2009 following a year of Vivix use, I asked my doctor about doing my annual blood work. ?What?s the point if you aren?t going to take your medicine?? was her reply. I said that I thought it was important to keep track of my numbers so she wrote the order for the blood work. I was very happy to get the report that the HDL and LDL were in normal range and the triglycerides were even lower by 41 points than when I was on the medicine. I found her report stating that although my triglyceride level remains elevated, it is not elevated to the point of requiring treatment with medications to be a testimony to the benefit of Vivix.

With Vivix, diet, and exercise, I plan on continued improvement.

There is more good news. I have a family history of severe osteoporosis. Both my grandmother and mother have had numerous broken bones from coughing or normal daily activity. In 1997, a Dexa scan showed that my bone density had decreased significantly. Having been a physically active person who drank milk and ate other dairy products plus took extra calcium, magnesium and Vitamin D and didn?t abuse cola products, I was discouraged with the news.

I began treatment with medicine. Testing after a year showed the medicine didn?t help so we tried another medicine for a year only to find that this medicine didn?t help and my bones kept decreasing in density. At that time the doctor didn?t have another medicine to recommend.

While working in an x-ray department I was used as a test subject for a new Dexa scan machine. I had a Dexa scan every year but the results always showed lower density. Then Shaklee came into my life. I stopped using dairy products including milk. I started using soymilk with the Shaklee protein and Cinch plus OsteoMatrix and Vitalizer. Finally, we saw improvement with the hip stable, and the lumbar spine increased 2.9% compared to 2004. This year?s report of 2009 again shows that the spine has improved (it didn?t list the percent) and the hip remains stable. Don?t you think that at 67 years of age with both of these reports that I can say, ?I?m not getting older; I?m getting better?!!
