Vitamin A Benefits

Vitamin A benefits to the body include aiding in proper eye function (specifically of the retina) and epithelial health. The term epithelial refers to cells in the body that form the skin and other protective covering for organs inside the body. In other words, Vitamin A is necessary for having healthy skin and protection of all body organs.

Retinol is a type of vitamin A, and is known to be a wrinkle-preventer and diminisher, so retinol is a popular ingredient in many anti-aging skin care products.

In addition to eye and skin health, some other benefits of vitamin A include preventing anorexia and allowing a person to be able to reproduce successfully. If a woman doesn't get enough Vitamin A, she may not be able to conceive.

Vitamin A is fat soluble, which means that excess amounts can be stored in the body, which can be harmful in some cases. In order to get a proper daily amount of vitamin A (and all essential vitamins), I recommend using Shaklee Vita-lea multivitamins or Shaklee Vitalizer
